Beach Walk & Dinner with the Locals

Ever wanted to know what it’s really like to live in a peaceful Nova Scotia fishing village environment? In addition to your gourmet breakfast at the Inn and sail on the Eastern Star, come and enjoy a leisurely afternoon walk with Rose Bay residents on beautiful, unspoiled Kingsburg Beach (a well-kept secret!), then join them as their guests for an early dinner (view sample dishes), a bottle of wine and plenty of conversation and local knowledge at The Tree House overlooking breathtaking Rose Bay and islands . You won’t stand on ceremony as dinner is being prepared. You can sip your wine and lend a hand with the “Chef” as dinner is being readied, or put your feet up and chat on the deck overlooking the Bay. Gaff Point Hike & Picnic

After your gourmet breakfast at the Inn or your sail on the Eastern Star, you’ll be picked up to take the scenic Lighthouse route to renowned Hirtle’s Beach and Gaff Point Nature conservancy. You’ll enjoy a 2-hour hike, first along the half-mile-long sandy beach, then up into the woods and around Gaff Point, with breathtaking vistas and local history along the way. Stay, Sail — and Bike with Al

There isn’t a better way to see the beauty that surrounds us than on a bicycle. After your gourmet breakfast at the Inn or your sail on the Eastern Star, you’ll head over to the Lunenburg Bike Barn to meet Al, who will guide you on your 4-hour bike tour. Spend the afternoon riding to small towns, seaside villages, and fishing communities where the scenery changes around every bend in the road. You can choose a route that is gently rolling or one that has beautiful climbs and descents through inland lake-strewn terrain. The Bike Barn is just a short distance from the Inn. Hirtle’s Beach Bike Tour & Picnic

After your gourmet breakfast at the Inn or your complimentary sail on the Eastern Star, you’ll gear up to take the scenic (Lighthouse) route to renowned Hirtle’s Beach and Gaff Point Nature conservancy. Once there, you can simply relax, listen to the crashing breakers and enjoy your complimentary picnic lunch (view sample choices), or take the 2-hour hike along the beach and around Gaff Point before the ride back to the Inn. Reiki Energy Healing Session

After your gourmet breakfast at the Inn or your sail on the Eastern Star, you’ll be picked up for your scheduled reiki session. The benefits of free energy flow throughout our bodies – to alleviate the pain and damage caused by energy blockages -- have long been hidden from many of us. As knowledge of how the human body functions and heals itself continues to grow, more and more people are experiencing unhoped-for relief from chronic health problems and a renewed level of well-being through energy healing techniques such as reflexology and Reiki.You will have the chance to gain an initial experience of this through a 90-minute Reiki Healing Session offered by fully qualified reiki practitioners at the Open Fields Intuitive Healing Centre, located 20 minutes south of Lunenburg. Open Fields’ work is focussed on laying the basis for your greater peace of mind, renewed health and harmony.
Transport to and from Open Fields is provided so that you can concentrate fully on relaxing and gaining maximum benefit from your session. For those who wish to continue the healing beyond an initial session, distance sessions are available. The session will be scheduled to accommodate breakfast and your complimentary sail on the Eastern Star.
